Project Partners

Prof. Ing. David Herák, Ph.D.

For the past fifteen years Faculty of Engineering as integral part of Czech University of Life Sciences Prague (CULS) has been establishing scientific research and educational cooperation with Higher Educational Institutions in Indonesia and participates in several development projects focusing on agro-forestry engineering issues in Indonesia. The present cooperation of our university builds on the cooperation established in the 1960s. Until now, Czechoslovak technologies are still used in Indonesia and a large number of eminent experts such as university teachers, entrepreneurs, members of governments and major artists have received their education in the former Czechoslovakia. The Czech Republic can still take pride in its very good reputation in Indonesia that is primarily associated with technological, engineering and agricultural sectors. For this reason, we consider the engagement of the CULS in Indonesia very beneficial for both the Czech Republic and Indonesia. In terms of national interest, one of the impacts of our cooperation in Indonesia is the enhancement of the reputation of the Czech Republic and strengthening its position in the Indonesian market, which is still open for the Czech Republic because of the continuing good reputation of Czechoslovakia within the country.
